Danielle Riley Keough. [2] Born in Santa Monica (California) to the rock stars
Lisa Marie Presley & Danny Keough She is the grandchild of actress
Priscilla Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised mostly by her
father in Hawaii and Los Angeles, and additionally spent time residing with her
mother in California and Tennessee. At the age of 15 she began modeling. She
was in Dolce & Gabriel's fashion shows as well as Christian Dior's and
on Vogue's cover. Keough's first film role came at the age of 20 when she
played a supporting role in the film Marie Currie in The Runaways (2010).
Following The Good Doctor (2011) Keough was a part of Jack & Diane
(2012). The film was followed by her being cast in a small role in Steven
Soderbergh’s comedy Magic Mike (2012). Keough appeared in several additional
independent films in 2012 and 2013, including Yellow and Kiss of the Damned,
before making an appearance in the high-budget action film Mad Max: Fury Road
(2015) 4th installment of the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had her
breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the first season of the
anthology series The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh
and based on his 2009 film of the same name. Her performance was praised by
critics for her role, and received an Golden Globe Award nomination for Best
Performance by an Actress in a limited Series or Motion Picture Made for
Television. Keough's performance as a lonely young woman in American Honey
(2017) garnered the actress even more praise and earned her an Independent
Spirit Award nomination. Keough was also featured in the 2017 apocalyptic
horror movie It Comes at Night. Keough was also seen with Soderbergh in Logan
Lucky, his heist film. She followed this with roles in a number of thriller and
horror films in 2018 including Lars von Trier's The House That Jack Built and
the neo-noir Under the Silver Lake, and Hold the Dark. In 2019, Keough starred
as the lead in the psychological horror film The Lodge, followed by another
lead role in the comedy-drama Zola (2020). Keough plays Sandy Harrison in
Netflix’s 2020 release of The Devil All the Time.
