Rita Ora, a British singer-songwriter. Rita Sahatciu Ora was a British singer-songwriter and singer who was born to Vera Bajraktari and Besnik Sahatciu in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. When she was just one, her family took the decision to relocate to England. Her home was West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School, Earls Court. After that she was able to graduate from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She started singing at a young age. In 2004, she appeared in the British film Spivs. She was a contestant on Eurovision The Country That requires You on BBC One to be the British contestant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest but later pulled out of the contest after a few weeks because she wasn't sure she was ready. In 2007, Ora got her first music album when she performed on Craig David's track entitled "Awkward" as well as in 2008 with "Where's Your Love" with Tinchy Stryder. For this track, she also appeared in the music video. Ora started singing in bars around London, and in 2009 an A&R representative told Roc Nation about Ora, just a few days following Ora went to New York and met Jay-Z. In 2009, Ora made a cameo in Jay-Z's video of "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z saw Ora and shrewdly signed her up to Roc Nation. She was the subject of a commercial featuring Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. She started singing from the same place where her father, Besnik, was a pub owner. Gwen Stefani was her major influence. Her father was a pub owner and she began her singing performances from the same bar. Kate Moss and Ed Sheeran have been friends for a while.
