Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy, born on November 25 1968 was a Canadian actress from Canada. Her most memorable roles include those on American TV's Law & Order where she was the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons and Crossing Jordan for six. She also appeared in movies such as RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted as well as the independent films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class, the latter of which she also co-wrote and directed. Hennessy was raised in Edmonton. Her father, John Hennessy, was a meat salesman and executive in sales and marketing, a position that required considerable travel and resulted in frequent moves for the entire family. Maxine Hernnessy, Maxine's mom and secretary, passed away in the year 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother from Kitchener (Ontario) took part in the raising of her daughter. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister and is a Canadian magazine writer and host. Hennessy's ancestry includes Irish, French, Swedish, and Italian descendents from her father's and predominantly Ukrainian Roma on her mother's. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She used to busk in Toronto's subway. She and her sister made their acting debuts as twin callgirls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's actress, says she was nominated for Dana Scully, The X-Files role. She was also in the 1988 film Dead Ringers as twin call girls. Dick Wolf signed Hennessy in 1993 for the role of Claire Kincaid, an assistant district attorney, in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. She portrayed the role for three seasons before ending the show as an actress in 1996.
