Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18, 1979) is an American actress from the United States. Her role on The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most famous. Also, she is known for her character as The Armorer on the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily was also an integral part of the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18 1979. She grew up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. She started acting at Stanton College Preparatory School, Jacksonville, while she was studying at the time. Swallow graduated with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She continued her studies towards an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She was a star in the world premiere of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also appeared alongside Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins’ play Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. [citation required] She was the winner of the Falstaff Award in 2010 for the most outstanding female actor for the part in the role of Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. In 2012, Swallow and Jac Huberman co-created a stage show called Jac N Swallow. It was presented in Joe's Pub and the Laurie Beeckman Theater in New York. The show revolves around their hilarious mishaps as they deal with very diverse life circumstances.
