Markie Post
Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She
started her professional career as a television and film producer, with
projects like "The New Card Sharks", (1978), and "Card
Sharks," (1986). Post was later able to create projects such as Double
Dare (1976), and has appeared on many TV shows like E! True Hollywood Story
(1996) and Electra Woman (2000). Her most popular role was for her role as
"Christine Sullivan" in the show, the Night Court star (1984). From
1984 until 1992, she was a part of 156 shows. Marylee (Armstrong) Post is her
daughter. She was a poet and noted nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman
Post (November 14 1918 to April 7 15th, 2015). Two daughters were born to her
second husband Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26, 1987) and Daisy Ross
(born March 30 and died on March 30, 1990). Born in Palo Alto, California and
was raised in Walnut Creek. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High School, Walnut
Creek, California. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis
& Clark College, Portland Oregon. She was a trick roper in The Wildest
West Show of the Stars (1986). The funeral was held and her ashes were given to
Michael A. Ross. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post passed away on the
7th of August in 2021. She died just three months from what would have been her
71st birthday on November 4. She was 27 days away from Charles Robinson, Night
Court (1984) and her co-star , who died on July 11, 2020. Though they were two
completely distinct shows, Night Court (1984), in which she was a co-star was
cancelled in 1992, with Christine Sullivan leaving for Washington DC. Hearts
Afire (1992) the show, in which Post played a new role Georgie Lahti (who,
incidentally, had worked for a time in Washington DC before moving to the
smaller city) was released in 1992.
