Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
who was previously an anchor for television at ABC News. She is famous for her
time as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend from 2015 to 2018, and
hosting The View from 2015 to 2018. She was previously co-anchor of America
This Morning and World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Because of the lack of opportunities available
on television, she landed an opportunity as a sales representative for radio.
She was eventually able to find work for one year as a production assistant at
WKEF/WRGT , and then occasionally anchor or report. She was the anchor for
weekends at WCPO TV in Cincinnati and the anchor for weekdays at WCPO TV in
Cincinnati between 2002 and 2005. The contract was canceled and she became a
reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 to
December 2011. In December 2011 she was recruited by ABC News, the division for
news of ABC. The 2nd of January, 2012 she debuted on the network's World News
Now and America This Morning. She was a correspondent as well as substitute for
Good Morning America during this time. She was then elevated to become a
New-York-based reporter for all ABC News programs. However, she was not able to
make it to the final show of World News Now or America This Morning. It was on
January 22 in 2013. Following the time that Bianna Golodryga resigned to join
Yahoo!, her debut as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend was on August 9,
2014. News. ABC announced that she would be joining The View as a cohost for
season 19. The show revealed on August 3 this year that she had been renewed
for for the twentieth season. Season 21 was also renewed along with co-hosting
duties. During the series' 22nd and 21st seasons, she mostly appeared on the
show's Friday shows.
