Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

Ava DuVernay was born on the 24th of August 1972 at Long Beach California. DuVernay was introduced to the arts from her aunt Denise. She was a night nurse to allow her aunt the space she required during her day time to enjoy the pleasures of literature, art and theater. Her summers in Selma, Alabama would influence her later on to create an animated film on Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr. In the year 1990, DuVernay graduated from Saint Joseph High School in Lakewood California. In the year 1990, she was a graduate of Saint Joseph High School in Lakewood California. While she was still a student DuVernay became interested in producing for television journalism. She began her career as an assistant to CBS News in the O.J. Simpson's trial. DuVernay recalls being tasked to watch the home of one member of the jury as well as look through their trash. In the course of her duties she began to feel dissatisfied by journalism, and shifted into the business of publicity. DuVernay was employed by a tiny studio as a Junior Publicist immediately after graduation. The DuVernay Agency is her first agency for public relations.
